A rainwater harvesting system is basically a holding tank under ground, where rainwater is collected from lawn drains, downspouts, roofs of houses, etc, and then recirculated via a water feature. This keeps the water from getting stagnant, and deoxygenates it. There is a booster pump installed that allows you to use this to water the garden, wash the car, or any other (non potable) need.
